Declaration

Purpose: The purpose of the Shared Governance Task Force shall be to bring students together and advance the rights of students through shared governance at the campus, institution, and system level. It will also be a place for students to exchange their own shared governance processes so that other students can take them back to their campus and implement best practice procedures.

Goals of the Shared Governance Task Force shall have three specific goals/campaigns:

• Work to amend Regent Policy 30-3, specifically in the area of active participation and primary responsibility
• Gather violations of shared governance from all campuses to put together a list of grievances
• Gather campus implementation plans to determine best practices
