Mental Health Task Force
Declaration
The Mental Health Task Force’s mission is to become aware of the need for mental health counseling on UW campuses, advocate for increased services, according to each campuses’ specific needs, to ensure these issues can be addressed in United Council. Because every student has the right to confidential and affordable mental health counseling, we declare the Mental Health Task Force.
Goals:
- To have consistent and diverse representation at task force meetings
- To create an analysis of current mental health resources on each campus;
- To develop a strategy to increase mental health counseling;
- To conduct an evaluation of current needs of each individual campus;
- To build a consensus regarding the source and levels of funding for mental health counseling.
