This weekends QPOC Summit was a roaring success. I would like to thank all of the staff, students, and volunteers who help make sure of that. As I look forward to the next steps of my job I am reminded why I do this work. It is all you. It is difficult to make safe and inviting spaces for underrepresented students here in Wisconsin. But what we proved is that it can be done and done well. I can only hope you all feel excited and inspired about the road ahead for all of QPOC through out the state. I would also like to give a special thanks to our inspiring Keynote speakers Brenda Coley, Olive Demetrius and Hanifah Walidah, without them it would not have been the same. I would like all of the participants to remember what you heard there stays there and what you learned there leaves with you in your next steps.
