JOINT FINANCE BUDGET HEARING SCHEDULE: PLEASE TESTIFY WITH US!

The Joint Finance Committee is the legislative body that has director power over the numbers and policy of the Wisconsin state budget. They are the sixteen legislators (eight representatives and eight senators) who recieve the budget bill directly from the Governor. They then work to meet Wisconsin citizens where they are at around the state. There are six hearings.

Joint Finance Co-Chairs Miller and Pocan have announced the public hearing schedule for the budget bill. All of the hearings are scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This is an amazing experience for students to make their voices heard in their area of the state. Listed below are dates, cities, locations, and the closest campuses. Some non-member campuses are unlisted.

Here are the hearing dates and locations:

• Monday, March 23: Sparta. American Legion Hall, 1116 Angelo Road (UW-Richland Center, UW-La Crosse, UW-Plattville)
• Wednesday, March 25: West Allis. State Fair Park, Banquet Room 2, 640 s. 84^th St. (UW-Milwaukee, UW-Waukesha County , UW-Washington County)
• Friday, March 27: Eau Claire. UW-Eau Claire Haas Fine Arts Center, 121 Water St. (UW- Eau Claire, UW-Barron County, UW-River Falls, UW-Stout, UW-Superior)
• Monday, March 30. Racine. Case High School theater. 7345 Washington Ave. (UW-Parkside)
• Wednesday, April 1. Appleton. Lawrence University Stansbury Theater, 420 College Ave. (UW, Steven's Point, UW-Marshfield, UW-Marathon, UW-Fox Valley, UW-Oshkosh, UW-FDL, UW-Manitowoc, UW-Sheboygan, UW-Marinette)
• Friday, April 3. Cambridge. Amundson Community Center, 200 Spring St. (UW-Madison, UW-Baraboo/Sauk County, UW-Rock County)
