United Council is the oldest, largest and most effective student association in the country. We work to increase access to higher education and win concrete victories that improve the student experience. Spend a semester gaining the skills to tackle the issues you care about most. United Council is seeking interns for campus based and statewide efforts to improve student life, social justice and access to education. The program is for self-motivated students who want a very strategic leadership development experience. You set the vision and we supply you with strategic planning, weekly trainings, and individual learning objectives to train the next generation of student leaders.
How it works
- Get more information, the Internship Syllabus, by contacting our Field Director by emailing: Field@unitedcouncil.net to request an interview.
- Once you’ve been accepted through our interview process, you decide what issue or campaign you would like to work on for the next ten weeks.
- You attend a weekly class and meet consistently with the United Council staff , and student experts that guides you on your work through out the
At the end of the semester, you have become a strategic political organizer with serious grassroots skills and experience.
