<title>UC Vote Summit &amp; Electoral Action Training</title>

United Council&acirc;€™s Vote 2010 Summit

Come to United Council&acirc;€™s 2010 Vote Summit to meet up with students from across the state in workshops, trainings, and discussions, focused on increasing student power in the upcoming election cycle and into the future. The general schedule for the weekend is as follows:
Saturday: USSA and Campus Camp Wellstone Electoral Action Training (EAT)
The United States Student Association and Campus Camp Wellstone have teamed up to offer a comprehensive training to give students the skills to register, educate and mobilize their campuses for the 2010 election and beyond. With a combination of workshops, exercises, and discussions students will be equipped with tried and true electoral organizing skills and a sophisticated understanding of student power.
The EAT trainers are seasoned USSA student organizers and experienced professional Wellstone trainers from around the country who teach by using their own personal organizing experiences. 

At the EAT, you will learn how to:
&acirc;€&cent;	Increase the number of registered students on your campus
&acirc;€&cent;	Increase student voter turnout on your campus
&acirc;€&cent;	Develop a strategic plan for your electoral campaign
&acirc;€&cent;	Overcome lack of participation on campus
&acirc;€&cent;	Develop effective student leaders
&acirc;€&cent;	Create a persuasive message
&acirc;€&cent;	Build powerful coalitions

Sunday: United Council&acirc;€™s Wisconsin Vote Training 
This second day of training will focused on getting your campaign up and running as soon as you get back to campus. With a focus on United Council&acirc;€™s and the University of Wisconsin school&acirc;€™s work and goals, the experienced UC staff will teach you skills to fill out your vote campaign. After several training sessions, campuses will breakout to start actually planning their campus events and tactics or discussing the coalition they hope to form on their campuses.  The trainings for your vote work as well as provide life-long tools for organizing and planning are listed below:
